Meet Bridgette

Hi, I’m Bridgette.

I spent my early childhood in southern Japan before moving to the North Oregon Coast. Growing up in these places heavily influenced the way I move through the world—each has an abundance of flora that tells a story and carries wisdom.

I see the world in plants. For as long as I can remember, I have been strongly drawn to the way they inform time and place.

I currently live in the Pacific Northwest and spend most of my free time outside—whether it be skiing, mushroom foraging, or running along the coastal trails, I’m a sucker for fresh air and big skies. I love to forage and discover new plants wherever I go. When the rain keeps me inside, I’m happiest cooking for loved ones, making music with friends, or playing with flowers.

I believe floristry allows us to connect with people on a deeply personal level that society doesn’t make space for. Whether it’s the unbridled joy of a family on a wedding day, the nervous energy of a new relationship, or the raw grief of a family in mourning, witnessing these moments reminds me of our humanness and the good in the world. Even in dark times, flowers always seem to bring out the truest smiles in people. While I appreciate the way flowers fill me up, their greatest gift is that in these moments of vulnerability, they fill us all up.

My passion for the environment directly influences my work. I strive to incorporate unique elements of the surrounding area into each piece I create.
